RE: Camper fire, what happened here?

Good thing it happened there and not in the middle of the night while he was sleeping in the camper

RE: cleaning pie irons

Scrub them up to get rid of the rust as others have described. We clean them in the kitchen sink at home, then immediately place them over a flame on the stove top to get rid of any moisture. Then we coat them in crisco shortening. Wipe them down to a light coat and place them each in a zip lock baggy ready for the next camping trip.

RE: Wayward kids wandering into campsite

I can empathize with you, I am sitting at my campfire right now and was thinking about the kids we had to deal with today.... I am more disappointed in their parents than in them.... They should have been raised to be more respectful of others belongings. Every now and then it just takes a good swift kick in the.... aahhhh... guess you can't really do that... I tell them to leave my stuff alone and if my kids want to play, they will come find them... and then use a garden hose to run them off your lot lol

RE: Depression: I am reaching out and need help. (long)

I cannot tell you for sure without being in your shoes, but my thinking is that if I am unhappy with life in general, that means this is a time for change. What do you enjoy doing? Focus on that... Camping? get out and camp. Racing? Get out and race (or watch) Woodworking? Concentrate on that. Job suck? Find another etc etc etc.. I could be way off base, but it's a thought... Good luck to you

RE: holding tank when not using RV

Empty the blank tank, and then I place about 2-3 gallons of good water along with a deoderant in it for extended periods

RE: recommendations for toilet chemicals?

For me, for the past few years, I've been using the chemical dihydrogen monoxide, which is coverd by your camping fee at many campgrounds. We just used a bunch of it on our last camping trip.. the stuff is just amazing

RE: Jayco Octane ZX vs Wildwood XL Lite Toy Hauler

We were in the same boat as you, and chose the Octane T26Y We noticed that there were differences between the two that steered us towards the octane. Be sure to talk them down... they can drop quite a bit off the sticker price. Good luck!!

RE: Deals Gap - Dragon RV camping

Check out 'Two Wheels Only' in Suches Georgia... it's about a 2 hour ride to the gap, roads are all just as twisty and nice... you can still ride to the gap, but when you get sick of the 300 bikes in a small riding area, head on out and find many other areas less patrolled by police. It's a ways away, but it's a campground catering to motorcycle community... no one is allowed to camp there without riding or hauling a bike. Plus they have a great restaurant.

RE: Looking for pictures/video

Is this it? Nope... thanks for looking though... It was an older suburban and an old 5th wheel... the 5th wheel trailer hooked right to the top of the suburban roof. The suburban even turned around while hooked up to back it into a parking spot

Looking for pictures/video

I searched and searched and can't find it... There was a video or pictures of an older suburban pulling a 5'er with the hitch mounted to the roof of the suburban. Anyone know where it is? I've tried youtube and google... can't find it.:h Thank you!!

RE: Motorcycle Wheel Chocks

baxley wheel chock, have the motorcycle sit on it instead of in it, much less stress on bolt downs also http://www.baxleycompanies.com/Chocks.html

RE: Looking for Outstanding Kid-Oriented Campgrounds In Michigan

My kids love Manapogo park in Orland Indiana... just a few miles from Jellystone Fremont. The weekends are usually busy with activity, and the kids find plenty to do during the week, swimming in a nice lake, boating, fishing riding bicycles etc.
